Nanning Liangqing Guan Gui Sugar Co. Ltd is one of the affiliated companies of the Guangxi Guan Gui Sugar Co., Ltd, which becomes the agricultural industrialization leading enterprise in Nanning as well as the largest taxpayer in the Liangqing District of Nanning.

 

In September 2001, Guan Gui Sugar acquired the auctioned assets of the bankrupt Yongning County Datang Sugar, and in its basis founded the new Guangxi Guan Gui Sugar Co., Ltd. Datang Branch. In 2008, the headquarter upgraded Datang District into Liangqing Guan Gui Affiliated Company, which is located in the Datang Town Liangqing District 60 kilometers from the city center. In addition, the affiliated company has more than 500 employees in the listed, with the 65,000 square meters of the production area. Concerning the location, the Nanfang Railway and the Highway from Nanning to Beihai all pass the vicinity of the plant and through the overall sugar cane production areas.

 

The sugar production adopts the Sulfite Process, which has  founded in 1995 (former Datang Sugar Plant), the daily treatment capability for sugar can was 2,000 tons. In 2008, with the more than 80 million Yuan investment by the company, it successfully completed the technological expansion engineering projects of daily extracted sugar cane 6,000 tons. More importantly, the “Tang” brand of white sugar won awards for outstanding product quality in the 2008 national quality assessment of sugar. Liangqing Guan Gui Company vigorously implements cleaner production and energy-saving plus emission reduction, taking the lead to introduce the Carrousel Oxidation Ditch treatment process technology and equipment for dealing with the sugar wastewater from Dut ch DHV Company. This introduction made it possible that its was tewater discharge standard achieves the national first-class environment al protection standards with the 96% of the water circle comprehensive utilization. In sum, the affiliated company has achieved remarkable accomplishments in terms of the environmental protection work.

 

At present, the current raw sugar cane plantation area is 180,000 hectares, with the majority of new Taiwan Sugar No.22 as its core raw materials, which accounts for 82.3% of the total acreage. It is followed by the new Taiwan Sugar No.22, which accounts for 11.5%. It is estimated that in 2008-2009 period of sugar cane juice extraction, the volume of sugar cane juice reaches to 600,000 tones and the sugar production reaches to 80,000 tons.
