Heng County Guan Gui Sugar Co., Ltd. is the agricultural industrialization leading enterprise in Nanning and the largest taxpayer in Heng County. Founded in November 2001, it changed to the Sino-foreign joint venture because of increase and investment in share capital, with the registered funds of 0.1 billion Yuan. Furthermore, the legal representative is Yang Herong, and there are currently over 1,500 employees in the listed. The branch offices of the Heng County Guan Gui Sugar Co., Ltd. are Xiexu subsidiary, Shitang subsidiary and the paper industry affiliated company.

      
The company is located in Hengzhou Town Xiexu, Heng County in Guangxi Province, in the north of the Yujiang Shore, with the water and land transportation convenience and desirable geographical location. There are Xiang-Gui Railway, Nanliu Highway, Nanwu Highway passing the company, and concerning the water transportation, it is upward to Nanning and downward to Guangzhou. The overall production area is 778 mu. The sugar production adopts the Sulfite Process, which has passed the ISO9001:2000 quality management system, ISO14000 environment management system, OHSAS18000 occupational health and safety management system. Its daily sugar production capacity reaches to 8,000 tons, with the annual output of sugarcane juice of 1 million tons and the annual sugar production volume of 100,000 tons. In 2004, the company was awarded “famous trademark enterprise in Guangxi Province”, and the “Jun” brand of white sugar and red sugar become the brand products in Guangxi Province.
 
In 2004, the company acquired the adjacent Guan Gui Xiexu branch of the Heng County Nitrogen Plant, investing in 92.60 million Yuan to establish the technological upgrade engineering projects of the annual production 34,000 tons of bleached sugarcane bagasse. This project started in August 2004 and completed successful trial production in June 2005. The short construction period, minimized investment and fast reward as well as substantial inputs into the environmental protection have become a miracle compared with the similar projects in the pulp and paper industry in Guangxi Province and even in China. Based on this achievement, the company set up the registered Heng County Guan Gui Paper Industry Branch, realizing the equivalent development of sugar and pulp and the comprehensive utilization of sugar cane. In sum, Guan Gui Sugar is devoted to the in-depth exploration and comprehensive utilization of the sugarcane resources and is dedicated to develop the ecological sugar industry.
     
The company attaches great importance to the environmental protection, introducing the advanced technology process and equipment for Germany, the Netherlands and other international famous enterprises at home and abroad in order to conduct comprehensive and systematic treatment on the sugar refining, the by-products of wastewater, black liquor and boilers exhaust in the process of pulp refining. The pulp refining technology upgrade as well as environmental protection investment account for over 53% of the pulp refining total investment. Each sugar plant all establishes the facilities of the biochemical wastewater treatment. With respect to the noise management, plant greening and other environmental protection aspects, the company takes the effective measures to strive to build a garden-like factory, contributing considerably to the development of eco-industries, the creation of fabulous residence environment.
 
 
In 2008, the raw sugar cane plantation area is 140,000 hectares, with the majority of new Taiwan Sugar No.22 as its core raw materials, which accounts for 95% of the total acreage. It is estimated that in 2008-2009 period of sugar cane juice extraction, the volume of sugar cane juice reaches to 600,000 tones and the sugar production reaches to 80,000 tons.
