In 2008, The sugarcane plantation area was 37,000 hectares, and it is estimated that in the period of 2007-2008, the overall sugarcane production will be more than 160,000 tons with the sugar production volume of 20,000 tons. The “Tong Pai” brand of white sugar was awarded the Silver Medal in the Wenshan 50^th anniversary of statehood and the third session of Wenshan International San-Qi Festival.
